MARRIAGE CEREMONIES
OBLIGATION-FREE INITIAL MEETING
Some couples are happy to book with me straight away, while others prefer to first meet in person. This meeting provides an opportunity to discuss the process of marriage in Australia and the creation of your ideal ceremony, as well as to get to know one another.
LEGAL PAPERWORK MEETING
At this time, I will assist you with the completion of your initial legal marriage documentation, ie the Notice of Intended Marriage, which must be completed and lodged with your celebrant no later than one month before your intended marriage date.
You will need to bring with you original proof of date and place of birth (ie. passport or birth certificate) as well as photo ID and any documents of dissolution of previous marriages. We will also discuss options for your ceremony content and logistics for your wedding day.
CEREMONY CREATION
It is so important that your ceremony is tailored specifically to you and reflects you as a couple. The process of ceremony creation is collaborative, but you can have as much or as little input as you like. My job is to create and write the perfect ceremony for you.
REHEARSAL
You may choose to have a rehearsal, or alternatively, I can simply guide you on the day. The rehearsal can just be the three of us, or you can invite along your entire bridal party. This is an opportunity to finalise the details of your ceremony.
THE WEDDING DAY
I will officiate and present your ceremony, and manage the required legal paperwork. I bring a portable PA system, which can also be used for your ceremony music if you are not having live musicians
RENEWAL OF VOWS
Although no legal paperwork is required, a Vow Renewal runs in much the same way as a marriage ceremony, although the focus is now shifted to reaffirming your love and commitment. Restate your original marriage vows or write new ones to better reflect your journey together so far. Include your family and friends as you continue your journey into the years ahead.
FUNERALS AND MEMORIALS
A funeral or memorial service is an opportunity to celebrate life. It is a gathering of friends and family that should be specifically created to reflect your loved one and the person they were. Working closely with your chosen funeral director, I will assist you in creating a meaningful and authentic service, which truly honours your loved one. I will support and guide you through the planning, meeting your specific requirements and ensuring your needs are met with kindness and the greatest respect at this difficult time.
BABY NAMING DAYS
Formally introduce your newest family member by way of a Baby Naming ceremony. A Baby Naming is a wonderful way to officially introduce your baby and assign them guardians or mentors who will help to guide their futures. Celebrate your precious baby in the presence of the people who will love them the most. A commemorative certificate is supplied.
